Drama King

We were sitting in a restaurant last night enjoying a family dinner, when my six year old son heard a song he liked. As he often does (especially at church when the choir is singing), he cocked his head back, opened his mouth and began to lip sync. Though it doesn't look as much like lip syncing, as it does an open-mouthed howl minus the sound.

I turned to him and rhetorically asked, "You sure do like to be dramatic, don't you?"

He then gave his eyes a big roll, threw up his hands and sighed deeply before asking, "What's dramatic mean?"

Sorry for the impersonal comment, but I thought you’d understand. I see you are a follower of Angie’s blog, Keep Believing. We have set up a way for friends and family to help from a distance. Please check out if you’d like.
LOL Lip syncing to the church choir? Now THAT is funny!
Love it! Your kid slays me. OMG, still laughing.
At least he's not singing at the top of his lungs "Low" by Flo Rida. I've got a 2 year old who has no restraint.
That's awesome.
That is fantastic.

Irony? NAH.

I love reading about him, smart, funny, dramatic... watch out Hollywood...
At least your Drama King lip syncs quietly...mine screams at the top of her lungs..

Good times...good times...
My son likes to air drum. Maybe the two of them can start a band :-)

I soooo wanna meet this kid. He's awesome!
Oh the corrupt pleasures of the unknowingly dramatic!
That is adorable! I can't wait until my son is that age!
Funny! He loves your attention!
Like, ppffftt, I got to learn another word.

Sounds like he could be boy band material.
I have a 6 yr old Drama Queen...She will Irish dance right smack dab in the middle of a restaurant, the mall, anywhere she perceives an audience...she's up and at it! Maybe your little guy can come sing along while she does her dance...we'll throw a hat out and split the tips! lol!
My 3 yr old climbed into bed with us around 6 this morning and started to quietly sing the song from Wall-E.
He's fantastic!
LOL kid kills me! :)
Please allow me to lay the back of my hand across my forehead as I ask, "Whatever do you mean??"
OK you need to carry a video camera around with you and catch these moments!
Well, my guy likes to play air guitar (quite dramatically), so between your son and Grace's son, all we need is a bass player!
Forget "dramatic," what's "rhetorically" mean?
I love that he lip syncs at church!
You are writing all this down for the brilliantly funny book that will fund your children's college fund, aren't you? Oh yeah, you are - that's how we're reading about it!
He sounds like a piece of work. Wait until he learns sarcasm!
AH, I have missed your blog, and your tales of your little man. I need to keep up more, and now that we are moved in to our new home, I hope to do that. I hope you and your whole family are feeling better, and that the insurance things works out quickly.
Haha, he is seriously too cute!
