You Want Meepballs With That?

I wasn't feeling well last night, so my husband offered to get some take-out for dinner. He then asked our five year old son what he wanted to eat.

Our son replied, "Pasketti."

Then he corrected himself and said, "No, no, not pasketti. Sasketti."

And again, "No! Not sasketti. I want Spapetti."

We were just sitting there, waiting for him to come up with the right word, when he walked over to my husband and said, "Dad, I want chicken".

too funny. good for him for choosing protein over carbs.

I have fallen out of the Blogoshpere lately with all the chirstmas stuff I have been doing and work has been crazy. This is the first blog entry I read in forever and you got a good chuckle out of me!

That's hilarious!

That kid is a keeper!

The Only Thing I Know Is...

Oh my! Thanks for the early morning giggle... Too cute!

Oh how cute! Our oldest used to say 'spita' instead of 'pasta'. We finally made up a fun little song with her ducky puppet to remind her how to pronounce it correctly. We still call the puppet Pasta Duck. :)

LOL LOL LOL

That is awesome!

That child thinks on his feet - he'll go far!

Mya x

so cute momo!

lol that's so cute!

DH says "meepballs must be what Road Runner has"

Classic, Momo! Lovin it. If you can't say it, it ain't worth eatin. Works when you're a grown-up too.

oh man....that was the laugh I was looking for. I just love kids and they things they say!

I could never say fire truck...it always came out...wrong in many ways. Meepballs...I would like them on my spapetti, extra noonles (my toddler calls them that) please.

That is adorable! I love a good early morning chuckle.
My daughter can't say it either so she calls it noodles with red salsa. :-)

ha! and the thing is, when he finally gets it right, it won't be cause for celebration, because you'll just miss all the other variations........

Oh. My. Word! How cute is that? I'll be laughing through dinner tonight - we're having 'basketti' : )

That is so cute. I love it when they mix words up.

I love it when little kids say funny stuff...and of course the family picks it up and uses it for years. We still call wallets "walnuts" from my little brother who said it, like, 28 years ago!
My favorite of my nephew now is "scartled" (scared/startled). I think I will use that forever.
