I May Take Up Prize Fighting

My son brought home a book he made at school with some pictures inside.

This is me. I am happy, but I am also wearing boxing gloves just in case I need to knock somebody out. At least he made me skinny.

This is my husband. I don't know about you, but I think he needs a haircut. I noticed he's missing his ears, which would explain why he never hears anything I say. Also, his lack of arms is probably why he doesn't help much around the house.

Children are so insightful.

That's a very funny way of looking at the pictures. You definitely think outside the box.

Actually sounds like the same reasons my wife would give :)

Hahahaha hilarious!

I love those pics and your commentary lol

Your son has a lot of potential there...his insightful perspective is a talent!

Er...I'm loving Momo's adams apple...

Your husband's hair is FANTASTIC and you have the longest neck I've ever seen! Did he draw himself?

dang it, it's hard to type when you're laughing so hard.

but the really important thing i think you missed here is : how did you ever have children? both of you are missing those fundamental parts! and even if somewhere there was a line on your husband that i *didn't* see, with no hands

oh wait. this is a kid's picture. i forgot for a moment, as the artwork is superior to my own.

That's talent right there. But your comments... those make those priceless. Love it!

Too funny! Maybe you knocked his arms off in a boxing match?

Sweet.

Seriously so freaking sweet!!!

I frame my kids really great artwork. Just for fun. Those are frameable!!!

I can't help typos because of uproarious laughter. That is seriously funny.

I so love kids art....and post about kids art are even better. This one....is wonderful. Be glad you have arms. be very glad.

These are great. I personally love the hubs hair!

Maybe it's a metaphor...how he views you....
pretty funny though! I routinely wear my boxing gloves around the house, you never know when you're going to need to knock your neighbor out!

That is so funny. You know that they say you can analyze how children feel by how they draw. I wonder what a doctor would say about those pics ? :)

They're hysterical!! He must see his mom as "tough". ANd Dad...well, I guess the picture speaks for itself!! Too cute!

well we know who wears the pants, er, boxing gloves in your house :)

are you on atkins? you are way too thin. eat a steak.

Wow! You've got a little artist on your hands! Well, I mean not really YOUR HANDS since you're wearing boxing gloves and all. But he also forgot your boobs. what's with that?
lol

Seems as though maybe your son has things figured out! ;-)

They call 'em how they see 'em!!

You are very limber. How do you do it? My legs would be cramping from doing the splits so long.

He's a Dali indeed.

God I love your blog!!! This is hysterical.. your boy is just awesome.. but I know you know that..!

Oh that is just too funny. And too true!

WOW! Not only do you box, but you look flexible enough to do that yoga pose that has Bossy so confounded.

very telling *L*

that's so funny!! makes you wonder about how your son views the two of you...hmmm, what's going on in your house? probably same thing thats going on in my house!!! i've got a nice set of the hulk boxing gloves...and i'm NOT afraid to use them!

oh, of course there's room on my paper bag!! i'll be more than happy to share it!!
xoxo

I cant, you are sofa king funny. I would have never put that together with these pictures. HYSTERICAL.

Oh and 'at least he made me skinny' also priceless....

haha. Lovely! I need some boxing gloves today! :) Have a good weekend.

I love it! Hopefully he's saying "Don't mess with my Mom!"

Too cute! :-)

This is cute! Now you know why dh doesn't help that much! LOL
I like it!
ps
I have the pictures up! come see!

Bahaha! I dig his vision...awesome.

The pictures are funny; your comments are even funnier. Thanks for the giggles.

MartiniTime...blog hopping...

OMG... that is hilarious!!!! You'd better keep those.

I like the way he has drawn you both smiling:)

I love the stuff they come up with!

If I had boxing gloves, I would be very happy. No more of this passive aggressive nonsense. . .

ha! Love them pics!

rofl. you are so funny. great drawings

lol - hilarious! Isn't it a trip to look at their drawings and see how THEY see US?

Of course, Dad is always the biggest one in the picture for my 6-year old.

H*ll - I'll be happy just to be IN it.

They are brilliant. When I think of you now I will always think of you with boxing gloves, and not tthat it think of your husband, but if I did, I would think of him with toilet brush hair. Sooo attractive.

LOL, love your narrative of the pictures

jessica
